The Church

The ceremony took place at Saint John's Lutheran Church at Minden which is situated approximately 1.5km from the Minden crossroads on the Warrego Highway.   From the turnoff on the highway, it is the second Lutheran church on that road.  Saint John's is a lovely, little country church which is cream in colour and absolutely gorgeous inside.

Pastor Griegor, who baptised and confirmed Shane and married his father many years ago, officiated at the ceremony.  He contributed to making our day very special and enjoyable.

The Photography Venue

After the ceremony, the bridal party adjourned for photographs to a friend's nearby acreage.  Julie and Ian Muller's gardens were absolutely gorgeous and provided us with many photo opportunities, ranging from an old, unused dairy to a Roman feature.

Julie Clark Photography from Toowoomba were our professional photographers.  They were absolutely fantastic to work with and took many magic photographs.  We highly recommend them to anyone getting married in the Toowoomba region, Queensland.

The Reception

The Ipswich Club is a gorgeous, old Queenslander building which is situated at 14 Gray Street, Ipswich, just a short drive from the main business centre of the City of Ipswich.  Our guests were treated to savouries and drinks on the club's verandah while the bridal party were having our photographs taken.  On our arrival we adjourned to the club's interior where we enjoyed our beautiful meal and surroundings.

The Transportation

The bride and her father arrived at the church in a sled drawn by a Siberian Husky team, closely followed by the remainder of the bridal party in our Hyundai Santa Fe and a hired Nissan XTrail.  After the ceremony, the bride and groom left in the sled.

Our thanks goes out to Anne Reardon of ArticAurora Kennels in Brisbane who supplied her team of huskies.  We had so much fun travelling to and from the church with the Sibes.  Special thanks also to the people who helped Shane make the sled as beautiful as it was!
